FingerVision as CES Innovation Awards® 2025 HONOREE

Updated: Nov 24

FingerVision announces it has been named a CES Innovation Awards® 2025 Honoree for FingerVision R1 robot system. The CES Innovation Awards® 2025 program received a record number of submissions – over 3400. The announcement comes ahead of CES 2025, the world’s most important technology event, featuring the very latest technological developments in a wide range of sectors, happening Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas, NV.

The FingerVision R1 is capable of replicating various tasks and operations that were almost impossible to achieve with traditional robotics technology. It has already been implemented in manufacturing sites and factories in Japan, and we are accelerating its sales globally as well.

About CES Innovation Awards®

CES is the world's largest technology event, held annually in January in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The CES Innovation Awards® is an international accolade presented to products that stand out among the thousands of cutting-edge technologies showcased at CES. These products are evaluated and selected by industry experts based on criteria such as innovation, quality, design, and UI/UX. Over the years, many products that have revolutionized our daily lives have been recognized with CES Innovation Awards® and subsequently integrated into our everyday routines.

About FingerVision R1

FingerVision R1 integrates tactile sensors, which have long been challenging to apply in industrial settings, into a robotic hand, creating a robotic system that can be utilized across various industries and applications.

FingerVision R1 employs a unique tactile sensing technology called vision-tactile sensing, which utilizes cameras and image processing. This robotic system is packaged with various components, including robot hardware, image processing, robot control, motion planning, tactile sensing, tactile manipulation, and technologies like machine learning and reinforcement learning. It is marketed as a solution to automate tasks traditionally dependent on human labor across industries such as automotive, electronics, materials, semiconductors, logistics, healthcare, and food and agriculture.

Designed to address the needs of diverse industries, FingerVision R1 balances high versatility as a system with adaptability to specific requirements. For instance, the requirements for robotic hand components often vary depending on the application. By leveraging its unique feature of "sensorizing any structure capable of capturing images," the system allows for easy customization of hand shapes. Moreover, it can reproduce multiple vision-tactile data types—such as force, slip, stiffness, texture, position, and orientation—enabling tailored solutions to meet individual needs. At the same time, its modularized common technological elements ensure that it can be adapted to multiple applications.

Exhibiting at Eureka Park

With strong support from JETRO, we will be exhibiting our systems at the Japan Pavilion.

Event Dates: Tuesday January 7 - Friday January 10, 2025

Location: Las Vegas, USA
