FingerVision will be exhibiting at the 2026 Chubu Pack, held at Port Messe Nagoya startig Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026.

This exhibition is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the Chubu region, bringing together food and packaging machinery, as well as related equipment, all under one roof. At our booth, we will propose the latest automation solutions featuring our propriety vision based tactile sensors, aimed towards the food manufacturing and packaging industries.

In recent years, as labor shortages at manufacturing sites have become increasingly severe, the momentum for robots and automation implementations has continued to rise. However, picking foods with inconsistent shapes and softness, or delicate workpieces and packing easily damaged workpieces, is highly difficult with conventional robot technology. This has posed a major barrier to advancing automation. To solve this challenge, our company has developed a unique sensing technology that equips robots with both "vision" and "touch".

FingerVision's Strength: Grip Force Control via Visual-Tactile Integration

The robot hand developed by our company uses built-in cameras to detect the movement or "slippage" of objects in real time. This allows the robot to replicate the delicate sensations od human fingertips, enabling highly advanced force control It achieves extremely versatile and safe picking, even for irregularly shaped objects, delicate items, or a diverse mix of products.

Additionally, our partner company, 3S-Tec, is scheduled to join us at our booth during this exhibition. 3S-Tec is a machinery manufacturer that designs and produces automated labor-saving equipment and jigs/tools, specializing in conceptual proposals even from stages where no specifications exist. They handle everything from design to assembly and adjustment through an integrated in-house system, achieving fast turnaround times and high-quality service.
