FingerVision Inc. selected as one of Japan's top startups after only 18 months in existence

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

◆ J-Startup2023 selection

The selection was based on recommendations and rigorous screening from external experts, including top venture capitalists, accelerators, and innovation managers at large companies.

Comments from Representative Director Yuki Nono

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to many people for their support and recommendations.

The vision of the J-Startup program is to ``Create startup companies that can compete and win on the world stage, and provide new value to the world with innovative technology and business models.'' In line with this vision, FingerVision Inc. pledges to accelerate business development in the future.

Turning to our company's field of business, robots, we recently talked about the current state of Japanese robot technology and the nation's universities and research institutes. An interesting article was published in Nature, entitled "Japanese robotics lags as AI captures global attention." The current situation, based on data, clearly shows that the technological strength and progressiveness that once marked Japan as a "robot superpower" is now a thing of the past. It is claimed that this is the result of a combination of factors.

FingerVision Inc. is addressing the industrial issues we face (for example, labor shortages in Sanshin Industries) and creating value by solving social issues. We are making every effort to overcome the challenges faced by robotics technology, universities and research institutes, and achieve visible change. We hope that you will continue to pay attention to us in the future.
